Civil and criminal case entries are imaged and available on our Public Access site, unless otherwise protected by law.

We will provide requested copies of public court records within a reasonable time.  Neither research nor data programming are performed by the Clerk of Courts.

Copies are available at a cost of $.10 per page.  If a written request is needed, the copies are mailed upon receipt of payment.

A "certified copy" is a true copy of the original document certified by a deputy clerk. The cost is $2.00 per page.

An "authenticated/exemplified copy" is a document that is required by certain agencies to be verified by a judge of the Court of Common Pleas.  The judge verifies that Mary Swain is the Clerk of Courts, custodian of the original record and is authorized to authenticate the case file record.  The authenticated copy includes the original signatures of the judge and the Clerk of Courts and is embossed with a gold seal of the Court of Common Pleas. The cost is $6.00 per document, plus $2.00 per page for certification.

Requests for copies may be made by mail, email, fax, or in person at the Clerk of Courts Legal Division. Certain documents may contain sensitive information and a valid ID may be required to obtain a copy.  Please contact us for more information.

Copies will be produced only upon receipt of payment.  Payment may be made by credit card, check, or cash. Cost of postage will be charged for copies sent by mail.
In order to locate the correct requested document(s), certain information is needed (e.g., party name, case number, name of the exact document requested, etc.).  Failure to provide necessary case information may cause a delay in processing your request.
