The Clerk of Courts office will provide requested copies of public court records within a reasonable time. Most copies are produced or sent immediately upon receipt of the request. Research and data programming are not performed.
TYPES OF COPIES
Regular copies, or photocopies, are available at a cost of $.10 per page in the Clerk of Courts office. If you send a written request, we will mail the copies and include a cost bill payable to the Clerk of Courts. Most entries of the court in civil and criminal cases are imaged and are available on this website under "Searches" and "Court Records."
Certified copies are copies signed by a Deputy Clerk and include a certificate stamp and embossed court seal for a cost of $2.00 per page.
Authenticated copies are copies that are required by certain agencies to be exemplified or verified by a Judge of the Court of Common Pleas. The Judge verifies that Mary Swain is the Clerk of Courts, custodian of the original record, and is authorized to authenticate the case file record. The authenticated copy includes the original signatures of the Judge and the Clerk of Courts. It is embossed with a gold seal of the Court of Common Pleas and the cost is $6.00 per document.
Requests for copies may be made by mail or in person at the Clerk of Courts, Legal Division, 315 High Street, 5th Floor, Hamilton, Ohio 45011. A valid ID may be required for certain types of copies. Please contact our office in advance at 513-887-3278.

WHEN REQUESTING COPIES, PLEASE REFERENCE AT LEAST ONE PARTY'S NAME AND CASE NUMBER, AND ALSO SPECIFY THE EXACT DOCUMENT YOU NEED.
Copy requests received by the Clerk's office will be issued by mail to the individual making the request. If outstanding charges are due, a cost bill for copies will be included with the requested copies.
